Understanding Diabetes and Its Symptoms

What Is Diabetes?

When blood sugar (glucose) in your body is too high, you might develop diabetes. There are 3 types of diabetes namely type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes.

What Is The Normal Level Of Blood Sugar And How Is It Formed?

The normal level of blood sugar should be about 70 to 120.

Glucose is formed from the food we eat and is essential for our bodys functioning; the blood then carriers the glucose to all the cells in our body. The pancreas creates and releases insulin into the blood which helps the glucose from the food to get into our cells. If the body does not create enough insulin or if the reaction of insulin/glucose fails, the body cannot get the glucose to the cells which, in turn raises the blood sugar and causes diabetes.
